WHERE’S JOHNNY?: ISAKSON SILENT IN AT LEAST 71% OF SENATE COMMERCE HEARINGS

Unclear if he even showed up.

ATLANTA - As a member of the Senate Commerce Committee, Senator Johnny Isakson didn’t say a word at 71% of his committee hearings. Who knows if he even bothered showing up? Where’s Johnny? Yesterday, Jim Barksdale challenged Senator Isakson to debates about the economy in each of Georgia’s primary media markets (Albany, Atlanta, Augusta, Columbus, Macon and Savannah). With public polling showing that Jim is within single digits, will Senator Isakson tell Georgians why he was silent?

Senator Isakson has been a member of several committees during his Senate tenure:

  • Commerce, Science, and Transportation: 111th - 112th Congress
  • Ethics: 110th - 114th Congress
  • Environment and Public Works: 109th - 110th Congress
  • Finance: 113th – 114th Congress
  • Foreign Relations: 110th - 112th, and 114th Congress
  • Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP): 109th - 114th Congress
  • Small Business and Entrepreneurship: 109th - 111th Congress
  • Veterans: 109th - 114th Congress
