WHERE’S JOHNNY? ISAKSON SILENT IN AT LEAST 66% OF SMALL BUSINESS COMMITTEE HEARINGS

Did he even show up?

ATLANTA – While he was a member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Senator Isakson was silent in at least 66% of his hearings. And we can’t help but wonder if he even bothered showing up. Where’s Johnny?

Three days ago, Jim Barksdale challenged Senator Isakson to debates about the economy in each of Georgia’s primary media markets (Albany, Atlanta, Augusta, Columbus, Macon and Savannah).

With multiple public polls showing that Barksdale is within single digits, will Senator Isakson give an explanation as to why he’s been silent in committee hearings?

This is the second committee Isakson has been on where he has not participated in over half of the hearings. WHERE’S JOHNNY?

Senator Isakson has been a member of several committees during his Senate tenure:

  • Commerce, Science, and Transportation: 111th - 112th Congress
  • Ethics: 110th - 114th Congress
  • Environment and Public Works: 109th - 110th Congress
  • Finance: 113th – 114th Congress
  • Foreign Relations: 110th - 112th, and 114th Congress
  • Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP): 109th - 114th Congress
